Adobe has officially launched its popular video editing software, Premiere, on the iPhone. Starting September 4, users can pre-order the app on the Apple App Store, with the full release scheduled for September 30.
This mobile-optimized version of Premiere brings many of the powerful desktop features to the iPhone, all while providing a streamlined interface designed for touch-based editing. Users can trim, layer, and fine-tune video clips with frame-level precision. The app supports unlimited tracks, automatic captions, and 4K HDR video, making it a versatile tool for on-the-go content creators.
AI Integration and Cross-Platform Features
One of the standout features of Premiere on iPhone is its integration with Adobe Firefly, Adobe’s generative AI platform. This allows users to create custom stickers, generate images, and even produce video assets using AI trained on licensed content.
The app also simplifies social media publishing, allowing users to export their projects directly to platforms like TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram with a single tap. Automatic resizing ensures that the video’s main subject remains centered across different social platforms. For more complex projects, files can be easily transferred to Premiere Pro on desktop for further editing.
Mobile Editing for Creators on the Move
Designed with creators who need fast results without compromising quality, the app includes a mobile recording studio with advanced voiceover tools, voice-based sound effects, and an “Enhance Speech” feature to improve audio clarity, even in noisy environments.
While the app itself is free and ad-free, some advanced features—such as AI tools and additional storage—require payment. It’s compatible with iOS 17 or later, as well as iPadOS 17 and visionOS 1.0 for the Apple Vision Pro.
A New Era of Mobile Video Editing
By bringing Premiere to the iPhone, Adobe is responding to the increasing demand for professional-level creative tools on mobile devices. With AI-powered features and robust editing options, the app gives users the flexibility to create high-quality content without being tied to a desktop setup.
With pre-orders already underway and the full release just around the corner, iPhone users will soon be able to carry a powerful video editing studio right in their pocket.
